My Biography

My journey has been one of unpredictability and luck. When I graduated from high school, I joined the U.S. Navy and departed for basic training within a year. After graduation, I was assigned sea duty aboard USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) a Nimitz-class nuclear-powered aircraft carrier. My duties were a plethora of tasks out to sea including driving the ship, standing watch, and maintaining various spaces within the ship. During that time I met friends, made enemies (just kidding...mostly), and met my now husband. From there I went on deployment and found out shortly after that I was pregnant. I was sent to HSM 41, a helicopter squadron, where I handled secret materials utilized in training pilots and aircrewmen.

I finished my service and immediately started my educational journey at Southwestern College in California while my husband continued his service. I took a break from school and began working with a company that assisted Veterans with getting their disability benefits and climbed the corporate ladder briefly before COVID struck the nation (and the world).

During that time, I decided to quit my job and continue my education while preparing to move back to my hometown of Tuscaloosa, AL.

Now as I write this autobiography, I am in full swing of finishing my education and honing my skills as a writer in the hopes of becoming a published author once I graduate.
